Following a recent review by our Group Compliance and the new legislation emerging from the FCA, we have taken the decision to remove the Annual Travel add-on from our Preferred Choice product with effect from 1 October 2019.
As we all know travel insurance is a challenging marketplace and this decision has not been taken without careful consideration. The exclusions we have to comply with at the moment do not make this a viable proposition for customers.
What this means

We will cease selling the Annual Travel cover add-on, as new business with effect from 1 October 2019

The Annual Travel add-on will not be included in any Preferred Choice renewals with effect from 1 November 2019.
This is a small portfolio of business for RSA and a majority of brokers will remain unaffected. Where brokers do have customers with our Annual Travel, they have been advised directly and alternative arrangements should be sought for their policyholders.
