This product is specifically designed to suit the needs of the self-employed, sole traders, small traders, and homeworkers. It gives you the choice of two tailored policies, covering up to 7 trades and 15 employees.
Our 5 Star Defaqto rated Tradespeople product is focused on construction and contractor trades. These include builders, domestic plumbers, electricians, and cleaners.
Alternatively, our Homeworkers product covers manual and non-manual trades that are run from home. For example, surveyors, accountants, hairdressers, and cake decorators.

- Tools up to £25,000 per person, including theft from vehicle overnight
- Business stock up to £10,000 for storing materials at their own premises
- Business equipment up to £20,000 for items not insured under Tools
- Contract works up to £750,000 sum insured
- Own plant up to £50,000 sum insured
- Hired-in plant up to £75,000 sum insured
- Personal accident for permanent staff for employment-related accidents up to £35,000 for death and capital benefits, £500 per week for temporary total disablement and £200 per week for temporary partial disablement

- Working at height more than 15m or depth greater than 3m

Notice to Policyholders
We have updated our Tradespeople and Homeworkers policy wordings. These new wordings (located below) will apply to new business and renewals transacted on or after 4th December 2022. If you are renewing an existing policy with us we would like to draw your attention to the Notice to Policyholder (December 2023). This highlights the changes to the policy wordings. Please ensure you include this with your customers’ other renewal documentation.
